Dear Families,
Welcome to 1st grade! Let me take some time to tell you a little bit about myself. I was raised in Republic, Missouri and graduated from there in 2005. After High School I attended OTC for two years and then transferred to Drury University where I earned my BS in Elementary Education. From 2010-2012 I taught second grade in Springfield. In 2012 my husband Billy and I got married and I began teaching first grade at WCE. For twelve years I've been in and out of classrooms as a cadet teacher, tutor, aide, and substitute. It has always been my dream to become a teacher. Ever since I was a little girl who taught her stuffed animals their ABC's I couldn't wait to become a teacher. It is such a rewarding profession that I am very blessed to be a part of. I live in Springfield with my husband Billy. We love to spend most of our time hanging out with family, watching movies, and at church where we enjoy teaching youth and AWANA clubbers. Billy works for a lawn care company and enjoys fishing and hunting. We have been together now for almost 10 years and God is so good to us!
I want to thank you for sharing your child with me and I’m anxious to see what this year brings! You are an incredibly important part of your child’s education and together we can help your child shine bright at Willard Central Elementary. I want to make 1st grade a memorable experience for each of you, so please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns.
